About the Company

Welcome to Pal Buddhist School, a unique independent, co-educational secondary school nestled in Canley Vale, Sydney, guiding students through Years 7 to 12. Since our founding in 2013 as Australia’s first Buddhist secondary school, we have cultivated a vibrant learning community of approximately 200 students.

Our approach is grounded in the Dhamma, the Buddha's teachings, which we view as a universal philosophy centred on wisdom, ethical conduct (sila), and mindfulness. We integrate this profound perspective with the academic demands of the Higher School Certificate (HSC), fostering an environment where intellectual rigour and personal growth flourish together. Our aim is to nurture capable, compassionate, and insightful young individuals equipped to contribute positively to the world. We warmly welcome families of all backgrounds, emphasising that our focus is on shared human values like inquiry, reflection, and personal development, rather than religious conversion.

Academic achievement, including strong HSC and ATAR results, emerges naturally from our commitment to holistic well-being and character development. We foster strong connections through partnerships with the Association of Independent Schools NSW, universities, and other respected organisations, enriching the opportunities available to our students and staff.
